Media habits of kids in age of 5-6 years
Knejflová, Vendula ; Wolák, Radim (advisor) ; Supa, Markéta (referee)
The thesis Media habits of children aged 5-6 examines the media awareness of 5 and 6 years old children, their media habits and preferences. It deals with the attitudes of parents and educators towards the media and their role in education, and seeks an answer the question of whether the popularity and use of electronic visual media (television, computer, mobile/tablet) has an impact on some areas of a child's psychomotor development. The work is inspired by a similar research conducted in 2010 by Ondřej Luštinec. The aim is to answer what is the media awareness of children, what are their media preferences and what attitudes are taken by parents and pedagogical staff towards the media in education. Several hypotheses were established, e.g. that children with worse results in the monitored areas will more often choose visual electronic media as their favorite and printed media with radio as unpopular, that children with worse results will spend more time with visual electronic media and that children will spend more time with them than in 2010. The current research was carried out in June 2022 and in January 2023 in kindergartens in Kyselka, Velvary, Čakovice and in Prague - Opletalova street. Qualitative methods (interviews and experiments with children) and quantitative methods (questionnaires...

Šnajdrová, Romana ; Křivánková, Markéta (advisor) ; Mahrová, Andrea (referee)
Title: Evaluation of the effect of the DNS FIT KID exercise program on preschool children Objectives: Assessment of the effect of the DNS FIT KID exercise program on preschool children with the secondary goal of building an optimal spinal stabilization system and thus influencing faulty posture. Methods: For this theses, 18 children (boys and girls) from kindergarten aged 3 to 6 years were selected. Aspection (gaze standing assessment), motor skills testing using the MABC-2 kit and DNS FIT KID (DNS tests and assessment of basic motor skills) were used to collect measurement data. DNS FIT KID exercise program was implemented and applied in the group. Results: When comparing the input and output results of the group, using the DNS FIT KID exercise program, a significant number of probands experienced a complete disappearance or improvement of the observed deviations in most of the monitored parameters. This fact therefore indicates a positive effect of the use of the DNS FIT KID programme for preschool children. Analysis of television program for children Kouzelná školka in year 2010
Smrčková, Hana Marie ; Wolák, Radim (advisor) ; Kocourková, Lucie (referee)
This work examines an entertainment programme for preschool children Kouzelná školka. It uses a combination of quantitative and qualitative content analysis. Selection of focused attributes is based on the wide range of theoretical literature and empirical researches. For example it analyses themes of education, moral values, fear, adventures, violence, interactivity, storytelling or gender differences. Quantification of focused contents is just first step of this work. It aims not only on the question WHAT we can find in this programme, but rather WHY we can find it and HOW it can affect children audience. Analytic part consists of two main chapters: Summary content analysis and Cast of moderators. In these chapters it brings results of summarising analysis for whole examined materials and partial analysis for each moderator's broadcast. Outputs are discussed with theoretical background of this work and to join it with current practice it also focuses on the motivation of the program creators. The main aim of this work is to map and evaluate (based on established criterion) the state of medial, concretely television, environment and products for preschool children.
The relationship between theory of mind and language skills in preschool children
Cajthamlová, Tereza
This thesis focuses on the relationship between theory of mind and language skills in Czech preschoolers. The theoretical part summarizes current knowledge about theory of mind, its relationship to language skills, and some areas of development of preschool children. The empirical part describes the research of the relationship between theory of mind and language skills of Czech preschoolers. Fifty-five children in total participated in this research, twenty children in a younger group (m=42 months), and thirty-five children in an older group (m=54 months). Theory of mind has been assessed by two false-belief tasks: Sally-Ann Task, and Smarties task. Language skills were tested by Grammar reasoning test, and Understanding of grammar test from test battery of Seidlová-Málková and Smolík (2014). The older group has significantly better results in false-belief tasks then the younger group. Despite anticipated results, there was not statistically significant difference between the younger and the older groups' language skills. A moderate positive correlation was found between language skills and false-belief understanding in both groups. KEYWORDS Theory of Mind, False Belief Understanding, Language Skills, Preschoolers, Sally-Ann Task, Smarties Task

Veverková, Kristýna ; Marádová, Eva (advisor) ; Scheithauerová, Lenka (referee)
The aim of the Bachelor thesis "Health promotion in selected kindergartens" is to determine the extent to which the selected nursery school promote health support, especially in the field of physical activities, meal plans and relaxation. The theoretical part focuses on the description of the preschool child, its developments, needs and influences that act on it. An important chapter is health, where emphasis is placed on the importance of physical activity, nourishment of preschoolers, sleep and mental hygiene. The practical part describes selected aspects of the activities of the three nursery schools, and analyzes information about eating habits, motoric activity and relaxation. The chosen method for the observation and research of the investigation are interviews with leading teachers of kindergartens. It was found that each school has its own specifics, which excels in health promotion, but also its shortcomings that need to be worked on. Based on on the findings of the research, has drawn up a proposal for activities supporting health. These are the five activities that promote health, stay on fresh air and familiarize children with healthy lifestyles. At the end of the practical part are collected the views of kindergarten teachers on the applicability of the proposed program in practice.
The Role of Human Figure in Indicative Test of School maturity
Michálková, Anna ; Klusák, Miroslav (advisor) ; Presslerová, Pavla (referee)
The thesis deals with the role of drawing of a human figure in Jirásek's Orientation Test of school maturity. The aim is to contribute to the development of theory of tested abilities. Empirical material consists of the works of preschool children in the Oriental Test of School Maturity, including the one for verbal thinking and in a selected set of Raven color progressive matrices. Data collection took place in two phases, four months apart. The underlying question is whether performance in drawing of a human figure will correlate more closely with performance in other tasks that are also oriented towards nonverbal (vs. verbal) and infralogical (vs. logical) operations. It turned out that it is not the case since the correlation is related rather to the degree of the general intellectual level. When analyzing developmental correlations within the given time frame, the development of drawing of a male character was grasped as a variable working synchronously with the development of other tasks. It was also grasped in the first phase as an independent variable and also as a dependent variable. Applying stricter correlation rates it has been shown that in a time interval of 4 months, the initial level of drawing of a human figure does not significantly affect development in other areas.Weaker...
